Genk’s Director of Football Dimitri de Condé is adamant that Paul Onuachu is committed to Genk, after failing to secure transfer away from the club.
Onuachu finished the past two seasons as the Club’s top scorer and was widely tipped make a move to one of Europe top leagues, in the just concluded transfer window.
The Forward however is still at the Club as Genk did not receive concrete offer from Suitors.
Onuachu has featured in three games for the Limburgers, but failed to contribute a goal or assist, and De Conde said his poor form is not a matter of attitude but form.
The Genk Chief, however, expressed confidence that the forward will rediscover his form.
“Of course I’ve already talked to him, just like the staff does. I have full confidence that he will be back on top very soon.Paul has a great attitude, will always think of the group,” Head of Football Dimitri de Condé told Het Nieuwsblad.
“He has also clarified that he feels good under the new staff. The problem was that he started the preparation with a backlog and then also dropped out for a few weeks. In fact, the preparation is just over for him now,” He concluded.
