Garba Lawal questions the non inclusion of Agbo and Success for Seychelles cracker

Date:

Ex international and a member of the NFF technical committee department, Garba Chindo Lawal has questioned the non inclusion of Isaac Success and Henry Uche Agbo from the list of invited players called up by Gernot Rohr to prosecute the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles on September 8.

Lawal who described both players as been creative and disciplined, opined that such talents deserve to be part of the national team, even though he believes that luck plays its part in whom is considered for a call up.
“I know that I’ve made an effort to put my idea across, that we have to consider players like Agbo and Success in the current Super Eagles squad. They deserve to be in the team,” Lawal told Footballlive.ng
“In football you need competition in the team and these two players will offer that in abundance.
“We should open our eyes during the call-ups because we have other big players in Europe. We need to scout well, we have to find a way and get back to our very best.
“You need a team that would make your opponent panic and that’s why we need Agbo and Success back in the squad.
Nigeria will face Seychelles at the 10,000 capacity stadium, Stade Linité situated at Roche Caiman in the outskirts of Victoria on September 8.
