Former Nigeria midfielder Garba Lawal has taken a swipe at the team after the 2-1 defeat to Algeria, demanding that the players and coaches “take responsibility” for the loss.

Garba told that the entire team; including the coaches, need to be blamed, insisting no team or coach wants to loose a game, but, the Algerians came in with a plan and perfected it.

“I believe football is all about winning, and as a player and coach they need to take responsibility for the loss. No coach or player wants to lose a game but when it comes like these, there is nothing you can do.”

“We lost to a good side, I think the Algerians deserved to win because they came with a plan and it paid off for them.”
