Veteran Nigerian coach, Kadiri Ikhana has advised the NFF to start afresh, hire young Nigerian Coaches and rebuild the whole sport.

Ikana suggested, in a chat with FL, that the current poor displays by the national teams in the country, particularly, the U23 Eagles and the Flying Eagles, are adversely affecting the chances of other young capable coaches in the country.

His reaction was followed the recent poor run of results which saw the U23 Eagles fail to qualify for the Cup of Nations, and essentially missing the Olympic games for next year in Paris under head coach Salisu Yusuf.

He believes young managers, who played the game as well abound in the country, but the recent poor displays lessen their chances of further jobs, or even their chance to progress the sport in the country.

Kadiri Ikhana reiterated the call to hire young Nigerians managers for the national team and afford them time to learn and grow in the role.
