Frank Onyeka returned to first team action with Brentford, three months since his injury, in Saturday’s PL match against Everton at Goodison Park.

Onyeka was a second half substitute which Brentford lost narrowly to the struggling Everton.

A Dwight McNeil goal in the opening minute if the encounter sealed three points for the Toffees, while the Nigerian midfielder was introduced in the 74th minute for Denmark international, Christian Norgaard.

The 25 year-old had really little to do as the damage had already been done by the time he was brought in to replace Norgaard.

Frank Onyeka’s season has been blighted with injuries, and he has failed to nail down a starter’s shirt for Brentford since his move from FC Midtjylland.

The result leaves Brentford 9th on the league table, just one point above Chelsea, who beat Leicester City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.
