Frank Onyeka got plenty of minutes in Brentford’s 2-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to hand Chelsea their fifth straight defeat and pile more pressure on caretaker manager Frank Lampard.

Onyeka started at the base of Brentford’s midfield and was tasked with disrupting Chelsea’s progression up field, and for the best part of his Sixty-two minutes on the pitch, he kept delivered.

Chelsea started brightly and with purpose, but their resolve was broken when Cesar Azpilicueta, unfortunately deflected a cross into his net in less than ten minutes to the end of the first half.

At the restart, Lampard introduced Mudryk and Aubameyang but they couldn’t find a solution and Bryan Mbeumo took the initiative in the 78th minute to cap his performance with a goal and a deserving second for the Bees.

Frank Onyeka won 3 of his six duels, won two fouls, made two clearances, and had one tackle before he was substituted after the hour mark.
