Moffi ends goal drought in Nice Victory

Forward Terem Moffi was on target as OGC Nice defeated Rennes 2-1 at the Allianz Riviera in the Ligue 1, on Saturday.

Nice just recently turned the corner after ending a seven-game winless run, and needed to build on the momentum with a victory against Rennes.

However things did not start off easy, as Nice struggled to impose themselves; they recorded no shot on target in the first half and risked going behind on numerous occasions.

The teamtalk at halftime would have helped as a rejuvenated Nice side got the first goal through Gaetan Laborde, who brilliantly volleyed low into the corner.

Moffi who has been relentless all through the encounter got the second goal after he was gifted an opportunity through a defensive error.

He was never going to miss and calmly converted to double his team’s lead.

Benjamin Bourigeaud pulled one back for Rennes, but the hosts held on to claim all three points.

Terem Moffi would be glad to have his name back on the scoresheet and has now made it 17 goals in the French Ligue 1 this term.
