Ifeanyi Udeze Endorses Okocha, Ronaldinho as Most Gifted Players In History

Former Super Eagles International, Ifeanyi Udeze, has rated his teammate and Austin Jay Jay Okocha and Brazilian icon, Ronaldinho Gaucho, as the most gifted footballers of all time.

Both players, during, and even after their hay days in the sport, have continued to captivate fans of the sport from all over the world according to Udeze.

 

The former PAOK and West Brom player argued that the only reason why Jay Jay did not play for the biggest clubs in the world was that he did not roll with the biggest agents during his time.

Udeze narrated an experience he witnessed with both players at the opening of the Abuja national stadium, where an exhibition match between Nigeria and Brazil.

“We were in the tunnel about to go onto the pitch to play when Ronaldinho came to greet Jay Jay. Ronaldinho just walked up to him and held his head and told him (Jay Jay) he was the best and the most skilful player. I just stood there looking at both of them, in awe.”

Ronaldinho and Jay Jay Okocha shared the pitch when they played for PSG, the Nigerian had joined the Parisien side from Fenerbahce in 1998 for £14 million, the highest fee for an African at that time.

Meanwhile, Ronaldinho arrived at PSG in 2001 and would later move on to Barcelona in 2003, where he won the Balon d’Or two years later.
