“He’s brought young players to the national team. He selects players purely on merit and is not sentimental in his invitation of players to the Super Eagles.
“Besides, he’s brought flair and balance to the team within his short tenure so far. He’s a typical German trainer, direct on his job.
“He’s just three years on the job and you can see how the Eagles play. They may not have won the Nations Cup, but he has laid a foundation for bigger positive results.
“Yes, this team of young players has the potential to win the AFCON anytime soon.
“Egypt 2019 was his first AFCON and he won bronze, same way Westerhof won silver in his first Nations Cup in Algeria 1990.”
