Terem Moffi moved from FC Lorient to OGC Nice on transfer deadline day.

After a scintillating start to the new season, that saw him score 12 league goals in 18 games, Moffi was the subject of an heated three-header transfer speculation between West Ham, Marseille and OGC Nice.

But OGC Nice secured his services on an initial loan deal with the option to make the deal permanent for €30million.

Former Ajax winger, Tijani Babangida, believes Moffi took the easy way out by moving to another French based club and should have taken on the challenge of moving to the English Premier League.

Babangida also suggested that the player could have had a problem with Lorient prompting his move to OGC Nice.

“He is a professional football player, if there was a team coming from England, he should have taken it,” the former Nigeria international said about the move.

“Any way you can only advise him, even as an agent, you cannot force him and I believe he need more stronger challenges that the one he had now.

“Maybe he is having an issue with the team, maybe they tried to push him to join another team and he fell out with the Club, because I see no other reason for the move.”
