KRC Genk new signing Ike Ugbo has reportedly declared his intentions to represent Nigeria at international level, admitting that getting a spot in the English Three Lions is near impossible.

Ugbo, 22, started as a Chelsea academy product and represented England at youth level between 2017 and 2017.
In a recent interview quoted on Soccernittygritty, the Forward said “I choose Nigeria . We are currently preparing the papers. The upcoming World Cup will play its part in this.
“I think I have more chances with Nigeria than with England.”
“Now that I’m gone, I can say it out loud. Arsenal was my favourite team,” Ugbo told Sports Magazine H/T Soccernet.ng.
“And Thierry Henry, my favourite player. I learned to love Chelsea while I was there.
“I was also (a ball boy) at Chelsea vs Arsenal, the match in which Robin van Persie made a hat-trick. That is my favourite match until today, but I couldn’t say that for a long time either.”
