Flying Eagles will play friendlies in Niamey ahead of WAFU B U20 Championship


Nigeria’s U20 Men team will play two test games in Niamey before the kick off of the WAFU B U20 Championship, the NFF has confirmed.

The Flying Eagles are expected to leave the Country on Thursday for Niamey ahead of the championship flag off date and the NFF also announced the 28-man squad selected for the competition.

Nigeria is drawn in group B against Ghana and Burkina Faso, while hosts Niger will face Benin Republic, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire in group A.
Flying Eagles will get their campaign off under way against Ghana’s Black Satellites on May 8 and battle Young Etalons of Burkina Faso three days later.
Both matches are scheduled to hold at the General Seyni Kountche Stadium, Niamey.
Only two teams from the Championship will progress to the Africa U20 Cup of Nations which holds next year in Egypt.
