Nigeria’s Women U17 side, Flamingos, wrapped up their training tour of Turkey on a rather negative note as they lost 3-1 to Fenerbahce.

Etim Edidiong was the only goal scorer for the Nigerian ladies and it came in the 90th minute of the encounter.

A brace from Busan Seker and a late goal from Nina Kpaho was enough to point out the frailties not addressed by the coaches of the Nigerian side.

Coach Bankole Olowookere, before the match, stressed that the flamingos were still not perfect, with the result from the friendly, it is now evident that there is more work to be corrected in the team.

Coach Olowookere and his team will now look forward to traveling to India ahead of their first World Cup group match against Germany on 11th October.
