Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong made a return from injury to feature in Udinese’s goalless draw with Hellas Verona on Tuesday.
Ekong returned to action in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi and gave a good performance in the heart of Udinese’s defense as they earned a valuable point away from home.
The defender, who captained Nigeria in their 2-2 draw against Ukraine at the Dnipro arena earlier this month, missed Udinese’s last two league games.
In Ekong’s absence , Udinese suffered a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan and newly promoted side Brescia respectively.
The Tottenham Hotspurs academy graduate has now made three league appearances for I Friulani this season and helped them to keep two clean sheets.
Udinese sits 15th on the Italian Serie A log with four points from five games.
