Against all odds Nigeria could finish top of group C at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup; a win or draw against Canada will mean the Falconets upset the pre-tournament predictions.

Nigeria claimed the scalps of European champions France and followed it up with another win against Asian powerhouse Korea Republic.
The perfect record puts Nigeria top of the group, but head coach Christopher Musa Danjuma wants his team keep their foot on the gas and complete the sweep when they face Canada, Thursday.
Canada are already eliminated having lost two of the opening games of the competition and have only pride to play for against two-time finalists Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the game Danjuma said, “We would like to make it three wins out of three to maintain a great mental state –the winning mentality.
“If we are used to winning, it would be difficult for any team to bring us down.
“It won’t be an easy game, but we approach it like any other game here.”
The final group C fixtures will hold simultaneously, early hours of Thursday (local time), including the Korea Republic vs France match up.
