Nigeria U20 MNT defender Solomon Agbalaka has revealed that the team’s loss to Brazil U20 in the final group game of the FIFA U20 World Cup was down to lack of concentration.

In a chat with FL, Agbalaka revealed that the team played better in the second half and only needed to put up such a display in the first half.

“We tried our best but we lost concentration in the last 15 minutes of the first half,” the LB said.

“We played better in the second half, and I wish we reciprocated that display throughout the game, we wouldn’t have conceded the goals.

“We will give our best, the loss is an indication for us to perform better.”

The Flying Eagles will likely either Argentina or USA in the round of 16, but Agbalaka insists there’s no worries.

“No we don’t want to avoid any team, although we didn’t believe we would lose to Brazil because we wanted to finish top, but any opponent we face we are going to play.”
