Real Madrid made light work of Al Ahly in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday night at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Inspired by Vinicius Jr. Real Madrid put four goals past the African Champions to win 4-1 and book their place in the final of the competition against Al Hilal.

The Brazilian scored the game’s first in the 42nd minute and Federico Valverde doubled for Los Blancos in the 46th minute.

Al Ahly replied to halve the deficit in the 65th minute, Ali Maaloul converting from the penalty spot as the record CAF Champions League winners sort in-roads to their first ever final.

However, it wasn’t to be because the European Champions eventually raised their game, left it late but eventually put some daylight between the sides, as Rodrygo and Sergio Arribas found the back of the net in the 90+2′ and 90+8′ respectively.

Real Madrid are the most successful team in the competition with four FIFA CWC trophies and will be favorites when they take on Al Hilal on February 11 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Al Hilal shocked Flamengo 3-2 in the first semi-final to reach their first ever final of the competition and can could become the first none European or South American team to win the FIFA Club World Cup.
