Sunshine Stars coach, Edith Agoye believes his side may hand Bendel Insurance its first loss of the season when they meet in Awka for their Federation Cup quarter-final match up on Sunday.

Following their remarkable run in the NPFL which saw them finish the regular season unblemished after 18 games, Bendel Insurance have emerged as the club to beat.

Edith Agoye also did an impressive job of qualifying Sunshine Stars for the Super 6 after finishing third in the group behind champions Rivers United and Lobi Stars.

“Insurance are a good side” Agoye said. “To have gone 18 games and even more without a defeat is not an easy thing to do.

“But we are committed to our objectives as well and that is to go as far as we can in every game. We are ready for the game.”
