FC Porto without Sanusi ease past Chaves in Taca da Liga… Obiorah gets minutes

Zaidu Sanusi was not listed in the matchday squad for FC Porto, but James Obiorah featured for Chaves when they faced the Dragões in a second round, Taca da Liga clash on Thursday.

Sanusi’s spot in the starting XI was taken by Wendell and the Brazilian played the entire duration of the game as FC Porto picked up a comfortable 2-0 win.

A second half brace from Daniel Loader settled the contest at the Estadio Municipal de Chaves.

The 22 year-old English man broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, connecting a fine low cross with a diving volley inside the box.

Four minutes later he was on the end of a fine cut back, his shoot took a deflection but still ended in the back of the net as he grabbed his brace.

Meanwhile, James Obiorah featured for seventy-seven minutes before he was taken off.

With the win Porto already top their group, with four points while Chaves are bottom with a single point from two games and are behind Mafra and Vizela in the standings.

Next for Porto is their third Taca da Liga, group A game against Vizela on December 16 at the Estadio do Dragao.
