Faleye’s FC Wacker Innsbruck deal shrouded in uncertainty…3SC Management displeased


Austrian club FC Wacker Innsbruck announced the signing of CHAN Eagles winger Sunday Faleye.

Faleye, 20, signed a contract of two years with an option for an additional year.


Innsbruck sports director Alfred Hörtnagl said : “With Sunday (Faleye), we managed to get a very interesting and talented player.


“In training and the test match against Dynamo Dresden, he showed where his strengths lie. He is a fast player with qualities in one-on-one situations and great going forward.

“We are very happy that we were able to get Sunday to be part of our new project.”

Faleye previously featured for another Austrian club Altach with a view to signing a professional contract with them after he underwent an elbow surgery.

Last season, Innsbruck were relegated to the lower league from the Bundesliga. They hope to rebuild with exciting young talent like Faleye to return to the top league in no time.


According to the Ex Media Officer of Ibadan based outfit, Jubril Arowolo said that “Faleye, an amateur player from a Lagos based football academy was recommended to Shooting Stars in 2016 by Ex International, Jonathan Akpoborie but his movement was still shrouded in uncertainty after spending a season in Ibadan.
