Former Super Eagles forwards, Pius Ikedia and Julius Aghahowa have thrown their weight behind Victor Osimhen to step up from Napoli.
Osimhen is the subject of interests from several top sides in Europe including Manchester United and Chelsea.
Manchester United are also considering a move for England’s captain Harry Kane and a move could be made in the summer.
Speaking on Brila FM’s “No Holds Barred” with former Super Eagles LB, Ifeanyi Udeze, Ikedia pointed out that the Nigerian goal scorer will be a better fit for Erik Ten Hag’s side.
“I will go for Victor Osimhen because he cuts Manchester United playing style, I said United need a good striker and Victor Osimhen is one of the best, so for me I will say Victor.”
However Aghaowa, who played in the Premier League for Wigan Athletic, argued that either player – Kane or Osimhen – will be great additions to the United team, but it will come down to each Players’ desire to want to move to Old Trafford.
“Both are quality players, Victor has proven himself for Napoli and the national team and we all know Harry Kane,” Aghahowa said. “Either of them will be a great addition for United but it depends on their personal selves.
“If they decide on playing for Manchester United, both of them will do well in any team they play in.”
