Everton Midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed that the Toffees will not be intimidated when they welcome Newcastle to Goodison Park on Thursday.

Iwobi was the star of the show the last time the Magpies were in Merseyside, scoring a stoppage-time winner.

Although Everton are not in the best of form Iwobi is confident that the return of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Calvert-Lewin and Amadou Onana can help overturn a run of five winless matches.

Calvert-Lewin and Onana are set to return from injuries, while Doucoure just completed his three-match ban for his red card against Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking to Everton’s Official website, Iwobi said the team can count on the home.supoort, and it’ll play a part against a team that just steamrolled Tottenham 6-1, and have won six of their last seven encounters.

“It’s another game at home with the fans behind us,” an Iwobi enthused reacts.

“That should lift and motivate us. Newcastle are coming off the back of a good win, but we’ve got the motivation and a couple of players coming back. Doucs and Dom are back.

“Hopefully, Amadou will be back as well. With everyone returning, there is strength in depth in the squad, so we should do well.

“The result we had last time at home against them should give us added motivation, too.”

Everton needs a win to move up from the bottom three and Iwobi is confident the Toffees can get it.
