Alex Iwobi has overtaken Kelechi Iheanacho as Nigeria’s most expensive player.
Iwobi was sold to Everton on transfer deadline day in a fee in the region of £35m which could eventually rise to £40m.
Kelechi Iheanacho was until yesterday the most expensive Nigerian after Leicester City paid £27m to Manchester City for his services.
Odion Ighalo is the third most expensive Nigerian player, having been sold to the Chinese League for twenty million pounds by Watford.
Ahmed Musa is the 4th on the list with the £17 million Leicester City paid CSKA Moscow for his services.
