Erling Haaland was warmly appreciated by Everton fans after they presented the Manchester City forward with a trophy to honor his Premier League, record-breaking goal tally.

Just in his first season in EPL, Haaland broke the record for the most goals scored in a single League season earlier this month, surpassing Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.

The Norwegian achieved the feat when he scored in the 3-0 win over West Ham – he doubled Manchester City’s lead with a bullet header.

The 22-year-old netted his 36th goal of the season on Sunday as the League leaders put some daylight between them and Arsenal in the title race, with a comfortable 3-0 win against Everton.

The award received, well, a mixed response from fans on social media. Some praised the Everton supporters for showing respect to the Premier League record-breaker.
