Francis Uzoho was between the sticks on Thursday night as Omonia Nicosia suffered a 1-0 defeat against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League.

Uzoho returned between the sticks for the Cypriot side in his 4th appearance in the Europa League and 8th in all competitions this season.

However, it was another bad day at the office for the Nigerian goalkeeper, who saw Omonia lose their sixth group game.

Omonia Nicosia finished the competition without a point and conceded 12 goals, and Uzoho shipped in 7 of those.

On the day, a odd goal by another Nigerian, Rasheed Akanbi settled the encounter and confirmed Sheriff’s place in the Europa Conference League.

Meanwhile, Believe Atiemwen also featured in the game, coming off the bench for the Moldovan side.
