Europa League: Olayinka out injured, Ekpai makes Europa League debut with Slavia Prague

Sparta Prague were without Peter Olayinka for the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League play-off match against Legia Warszawa.

Olayinka is still out injured and did not make the matchday squad, but his compatriot Ubong Ekpai was handed minutes off the bench in the 2-2 draw with the Polish side.
The game didn’t start off well for the Czech Republic champions, Mahir Emreli notched the opener in the 20th minute to put Legia in control.
But The red and whites were back in the game thirteen minutes later. Alexander Bah (33′) brought the hosts level, however they would end up trailing again before the interval.
It wasn’t long and the visitors were back in front again through Josip Juranovic this time the Croatian defender adding a goal to crown a fine performance on the day.
Before the break, Lukas Masopust will bring the hosts back on level terms as they managed to grind out a result to keep a slim chance of going through to the group stage of the competition if they manage a win in the return-leg.
Just after the hour mark Ekpai was handed his first appearance in the team’s European campaign.
The sides return on August 26 for the return-leg at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego.
