Olaoluwa Aina got minutes off the bench for Torino in Sunday’s Serie A match at the against Lecce.

Aina got thirty minutes at the Stadio via del mare and at best was a good defensive cover, in the RB position, for goalkeeper.

His minutes have been cut greatly, owing to his recent injury, forcing the Coach to enforce load management. Another reason could be the fact that Aina’s future is yet undecided with just a few months left to the end of his contract.

This season, he has made only 15 league appearances and featured for only forty-nine minutes in the last two games.

Ivan Juric’s men have their sight set on finishing in the European spots, and Sunday’s gave presented a good opportunity to test that resolve.

But it didn’t take long for Il Toro to show that resolve, Stephane Singo (22′) opened scoring for the visitors – He was replaced by Aina in the second half.

Three minutes later Antonio Sanabria (23′) doubled the lead and the visitors saw out the win.

But there was some drama off the pitch, between the Managers, Juric and his opposite number, Marco Baroni were sent off in the first half (33′) after an altercation.

The 47 year-old Croatia won’t be too worried though as his side sealed the maximum points and moved up to 7th place, 5points off a European spot; behind Atalanta.
