10-man Rangers held their own to grind out a narrow 1-0 win against Alashkert FC in the UEFA Europa League first-leg play-off match on Thursday at the Ibrox.

Rangers were reduced to 10 men before the interval after John Lundstram was shown a second yellow.
But the hosts still did enough to make the home leg of the tie count.
Forward Alfredo Morelos struck gold for Steven Gerrard’s men teaming up with James Tavernier to break the deadlock.
The lone goal will eventually decide the game and Gerrard didn’t have to bring Leon Balogun off the bench.
He did hand Joe Aribo a starter’s spot though, the midfielder played well into the 80th minute before he was brought off.
Meanwhile, Calvin Bassey played the entire duration of the game as he continues to impress the Rangers boss.
