Leke James and Sivasspor will turn their attention to the Europa Conference League after the club’s elimination from the Europa League by Malmo FF.
James was in action for Eighty minutes in the second-leg UEL playoff game at the Yeni 4 Eylül Stadyumu.
Malmo won both legs, 3-1 and 2-0 respectively to march into the group phase of Europe’s second tier inter club competition.
Meanwhile, in the Europa Conference League draw held, Friday, Sivasspor were grouped with Slavia Prague, CFR Cluj and Ballkani.
Ballkani were responsible for the elimination of Macedonian champions KP Shkupi.
Shkupi were reduced to 10 men early in the game and lost 1-0 in the second-leg of the playoff – and 3-1 on aggregate.
Nigeria’s Sunday Adetunji scored Shkupi’s only goal in the tie, but misfired and also got a yellow card on Thursday night at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium.
