Etebo’s standout performance helps Stoke City pick first win

Oghenekaro Etebo eventually got his first win in English football with Stoke City following a 2-0 victory against Hull City on Saturday, in the Championship.

Etebo, who also made his first full appearance for the Potters, was crucial in the victory and was especially effective in controlling play.

 

The Nigerian scored a 8.9 rating in possession; the highest in the game, made 3 successful tackles, had 2 shots on goal and finished with a 7.6 rating per WhoScored.com

 

The 22-year-old was second best only to goal scorer James McClean (7.8).

 

Saturday’s victory was the first for the Potters in this season in the league having picked just two points from their first four matches.

 

The win saw them climb to just 16th in the table with five points from as many matches.
