Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has been awarded the South West Stokies City player of the year on Sunday.
Etebo who joined Stoke City from Portuguese side CD Feireinse after a successful loan spell with Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas has been revelation since arriving.
The former Warri Wolves player lost Stoke City’s Official Player of the Year for 2018/19 to goalkeeper Jack Butland took but he was grateful to the fans for supporting him since his arrival.
“It’s a thing of joy winning the SW Stoke City player of the year and I just want to use the opportunity to appreciate the Fans for their support though we didn’t achieve our goals main target the season,”Etebo wrote on Instagram.
“But we still need to keep up the positivity that’s why we all love the game!!! Once again respect from my heart to you guys .”
Etebo made 37 appearances in all competitions and scored twice.
