Aris FC consolidate their hold on the final Championship playoff spot as they returned to winning ways in the Greek Super League.

On Thursday, Aris sealed a narrow 1-0 win against Panetolikos at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium and Peter Etebo played the entire duration of the game.

Etebo has now featured in back to back games for the team as he shows his fitness and is becoming a crucial player for Alan Pardew’s side.

Andre Gray got the match winner in the 52nd minute after his effort in the first half (21′) was chalked off by VAR.

The victory put some daylight between Aris and the teams in the bottom half of the table after 15 rounds of matches.

Equally, the win means Pardew’s side are now unbeaten in seven straight league games dating back to October when they lost to league leaders Panathinaikos.

They next face third placed AEK Athens away from home on January 4, when the league resumes from the New Year’s break.
