Stoke City suffered a 2-1 defeat in pre-season to Leicester City; and against arguably the best team they have faced in their five friendly games in preparation for the new season.

The Potters were put to the sword by Leicester’s best XI on Saturday, but the former didn’t have all of theirs – including Peter Etebo – on the pitch.

Etebo, who was on National duty with Nigeria at the AFCON in Egypt, is currently holidaying back home and was on Wedding ceremony duties in Benin City on Saturday.

The midfielder, holding the fort alongside Eagles teammates including Kenneth Omeruo, John Ogu and Chidozie Awaziem, as Henry Onyekuru tied the nuptial knot.

Adorned in typical Eastern Nigeria ceremonial attire, Etebo and his mates turnt, while Stoke fell and for the second time in pre-season.

Goals from Marc Albrighton and Youri Tielemans either side of Nick Powell’s goal – all in the second half – condemned Stoke to a defeat at the Britannia.
