Esiti and PAOK march into Europa Conference League final play-off round


Anderson Esiti came off the bench in the second half to help PAOK secure passage to the play-off round of the UEFA Europa Conference League at the expense of Irish club side Bohemians on Thursday night.

Esiti was introduced in the 73rd minute to ensure PAOK maintained their 2-0 lead in the game on the night.
After falling 2-1 in the previous game, the Greek side needed a big statement to ensure progress in the competition and they team responded appropriately.
The hosts settled in quickly and raced into the lead inside the opening 4 minutes. Stefan Schwab put the ball in the back of the net with Diego Biseswar providing the assist.
Biseswar himself then got his name on the goal scorer’s sheet in the 28th minute to give PAOK a comfortable first-half lead.
PAOK will go on to win and progress to the play-off 3-2 on aggregate. They will meet Croatian side Rijeka in the final qualifying round.
