Super Eagles striker Victor Mbaoma says the track record and antecedent of Enyimba won’t make them settle for less ahead of the new season.
Enyimba kept their Champions League campaign alive with a 5-0 routing of Rahimo in the second-leg of the preliminary round qualifying match.
The two times African champions won 5-1 on aggregate and aim to reach the group stage proper, when they play Al Hilal in the final qualifying round.
Mbaoma said “Enyimba are two time African Champions, they won it consecutively, they have so many league titles in their cabinet, so many experienced administrators, officials and Footballers are here, so going into every season, we want to compete.”
The striker added that people’s expectations are always high on the People’s Elephants and they are quite aware of what the fans and the whole country is expecting.
