Two-time African Champions, Enyimba, on Thursday left Nigeria ahead of their preliminary first round CAF Champions League tie with Rahimo of Burkina Faso.
Enyimba will hope to replicate their 2003/2004 form on the continent, when they won back to back African titles.
The first-leg against Rahimo team is scheduled for Saturday August 10, while Enyimba will host the reverse fixture in Aba on August 18.
Meanwhile, Enyimba head coach Usman Abd’Allah has urged his boys to avoid complacency, highlighting the importance of winning their first game this season.
In an interview before heading out, Abd’Allah said “We will not underrate any team, we rarely know Rahimo and it will be a disadvantage if we feel we are the big boys.”
