Enyimba lose CAF Confederation Cup Opener


Enyimba FC got their Confederation Cup campaign off to a disappointing start following Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Hassania Agadir at the Stade Al Inbiaâte.

Hassania went ahead through Karim El Berkaoui’s 14th-minute strike while Senegalese forward Malick Cisse doubled the lead for the host in the 19th minute.


Enyimba improved in the second half but were unable to recover from the first-half slump.

In the other Group D game, San Pedro of Côte d’Ivoire were held to a 0-0 at home by Algerian side, Paradou A.C. .


Enyimba will host San Pedro in Aba next week in a matchday two encounter.
