Enyimba advance to play-off round of Confederation Cup, Rivers United out of CAF CL

Enyimba cruised past Diambars 3-0 in the second leg CAF Confederation Cup tie in Aba and advance to the play-off round.

Goals from Tosin Omoyele (1′), Victor Mbaoma (31′) and Samuel Kalu (90+1′) all found the back of the net as Enyimba wrapped up the tie 4-0 on aggregate.
So far since he took charge of the club, Finidi George has had a 100 percent win record, scoring four and conceding no goals.
Their next opponent will be known following the completion of games in the current round of qualifiers and teams from the Champions League also drop down.
Meanwhile, Rivers United will drop to the Confederation Cup after losing 2-1 on aggregate to Al Hilal in the Champions League qualifiers.
Rivers United drew the first leg 1-1 at home, but fell 1-0 in Sudan on Sunday.
Nigeria’s other representative in this season’s club competition on the continent, Bayelsa United were hammered 4-0 by CS Sfaxien in the return-leg of the tie.
Bayelsa United had won the first leg 1-0, however they couldn’t hold their own in Tunisia.
