Enugu Rangers get Ibenegbu, 2 others boost ahead of Al Masry clash

Nigeria’s CAF confederation cup representative, Enugu Rangers have been boosted by the return of three of their injured players as they prepare for the second Group A clash against Egyptian club side Al Masry on Sunday.

 

The Flying Antelopes started their CAF confederation cup campaign on a losing note after slumping to a 3-1 defeat against another Egyptian side,  FC Pyramids at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium last Sunday.

 

The Enugu side will however look to put that disappointing loss behind them with the return of Ike Ibenegbu, Uche John and Ifeanyi George.

The Media officer of the team, Norbert Okolie, speaking ahead of the game confirmed that the trio is back in training and will be travelling with the team, adding that he hopes their return will help the team get a positive result on Sunday.

“Some of our injured players are back in the team and they will be travelling with us,” 

“Ike Ibenegbu, Uche John, Ifeanyi George are training with the rest of the team. To a large extent this returnee will help us to fight for point in Alexandra on Sunday.”

 

Okolie also stated that the team will depart Nigeria for Alexandra today(Friday), venue of their second group match of the competition.

“The team will leave from Lagos on Friday with a flight schedule for 2pm.”

Al Masry recorded a 3-2 victory in their opening group game against Nouhadhibou of Mauritania.
