Former Head Coach of Tanzania Emmanuel Amuneke has revealed that he’s ready to return to management again.

Amunike was sacked from his position as Head Coach of Taifa Stars after their poor outing at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The former Nigerian International qualified them for their first AFCON appearance for the first time since 1980.

Several months since being out of the job and the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner says he’s ready to return to football Management.

“I’m very open to any positive offer that comes because I’ve spent the last few weeks learning new ideas and methods,”

“As a manager you need to be honest with yourself and even though Tanzania is a closed chapter, I picked up valuable lessons from that job.

“I want a fresh start and it has to be something that is right, and hopefully the ambition will align with mine.” He said.

Amunike, however distance himself from reports linking him to a job with the Nigerian Football Federation soon.

“We must respect those who currently hold coaching posts in Nigeria and elsewhere. Personally, I am just looking forward to the next challenge with optimism.

“Whether it is in Africa or anywhere that something comes up, you need to be available for it if it’s something you want to do and believe in.” Amuneke concluded.
