On Wednesday Swedish Damallsvenskan outfit Vaxjo DFF confirmed through their official website that Nigeria international Ohale Osinachi is leaving the club for Real Madrid’s women’s team, CD Tacón.
CD Tacón who suffered 9-1 heavy bash from Barcelona on the opening day of the new Primera División Femenino season have shopping for defensive reinforcements this transfer window.
This transfer window, the club had acquired the services of former Arsenal Ladies striker Chioma Ubogagu.
Osinachi, who started her professional career at Rivers Angels moved to Houston Dash in 2014, before returning to Nigeria in 2015 for a second spell at Rivers Angels.
The 27 year-old also had a stint with Växjö DFF in 2018, and played as a centre back for Vittsjö GIK.
She was a member of Nigeria’s squad to the 2011, 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups, and has won four Africa Women Cup of Nations titles.
Also, the move brings to four the number of Nigerian players in the League, to include Asisat Oshoala, Peace Effih and Chidinma Okeke.
