Former Nigerian midfielder Friday Ekpo believes the friendly matches lined up for the Super Eagles should be used to test the depth of the current squad.
Ekpo suggested that Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, should make use of the matches against Algeria, to identify and possibly separate the old legs in the team and from players of the future.
Both Algeria and Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup coming up in Qatar later this year.
Many fans across the country have called on the technical crew to field players who have not represented the national team or prove their mettle.
With the likes of Ahmed Musa out die to injury, Friday Ekpo urged the Coach to field underrepresented players including the best from Nigeria’s B Eagles.
