Chidera Ejuke suffered his first defeat with CSKA Moscow in all competitions for the first time since September in Sunday’s 1-0 loss against Rubin Kazan.
Ejuke played just 73 minutes in the Premier League game against Rubin Kazan at the Central Stadium on Sunday.
In the first real action of the game, the winger was denied a goal after VAR ruled it out for offside – Fedor Chalov was the culprit.
Minutes later he got another chance to score but the Goalkeeper got a finger to his cheeky lob.
However, it will be the hosts who get the decider and Mikhail Kostyukov’s added time goal stood.
Saturday’s defeat ended CSKA Moscow’s unbeaten run since September 26, a stretch of 8 games; Ejuke was involved in six of them.
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored hat-trick to help Leicester City beat Sheffield United 5-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.
