Egypt’s soccer national team will be in Asaba, Delta State on the 24th of this month, two days before they tackle Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a high-profile international friendly at Stephen Keshi Stadium.

Footballlive.ng gathered that The Pharaohs will arrive two days before the game, which is fixed for March 26, and they are expected to land in the Delta State capital on a chartered flight.

This was revealed Tuesday by the information department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which also disclosed that the eternal record holders in the Africa Cup of Nations winning log and hosts of this year’s competition will arrive from Niamey, Niger Republic.

The NFF media unit revealed further that officials of the hosts’ soccer governing body and those of Egypt Football Association have confirmed that The Pharaohs will fly into Asaba Airport direct from Niamey, where they play Le Mena in their last match of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

Even before they were confirmed as hosts of the competition, in place of faltering Cameroon, The Pharaohs, like the Eagles, had already booked a place at AFCON 2019, which will hold from 21st June to 19th July.

They will play Niger Republic in a formality match on March 23, a day after Nigeria tango visiting Seychelles on Friday, 22nd March, also at Stephen Keshi Stadium, where they will also host Egypt four days later.
