Egypt fires head Coach Hossam El-Badry

The Egypt FA have announced the sacking of national team coach Hossam El-Badry and his entire staff after just nine games in charge.

El-Badry’s last game with the Pharaohs was a disappointing 1-1 draw in the World Cup qualifier against Gabon at the Stade de Franceville.
The 61 year-old’s performance at the helms had been criticized by Egyptian football legend Ahmed Hossam “Mido” among the growing calls for head Coach’s head.
H/T Ahmad Gamal Ali [KingFut] “Changes in the line-up are a normal thing to do, especially with the pressured schedule, but El-Badry made grave mistakes during the Gabon game,”
“Everybody is sad to see the current national team performance, there has to be a solution.
“In my opinion, El-Badry’s dismissal is the quickest solution, and Vingada taking over would be a complete failure.”
EFA announced the sack on Twitter less than 12 hours after the game.
“We wish them good luck and fortune in their future career. And the EFA will decide the new technical staff for the national team during the next 48 hours.”
Egypt are in Group D at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
