Egwuekwe warn players against signing for Libyan Club

Former Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe has opened up on his time with Libyan side Al Nasr Benhhazi.

 

Egwuekwe who joined Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers United on a one year deal after ending his tie with the Libyan side.

 

The 30-year-old previously who had brief spell with Finnish side, KuPs and South Africa Premier League club, SuperSport United said the Club treated players poorly.

 

The experience defender revealed he struggled to get his salary and other entitlements after months of service for the Club.

 

“I will never advice any player to go and play football in Libya ”

“I can’t even advice my enemies to go there , In fact i thank God for bringing me safely”

 

“Whenever I ask for my money, they kept saying in ten days time , till one day when we got to Egypt and they gave me and other Nigerian players $10,000 and asked us to leave.”, He said.

 

Egwuekwe then addded that he decided to return home to get his career back on track with Rivers United.

Egwuekwe,your advice is good but is not useful bro,you once played in Libyan league and you collected your own contract fees,dont discourage other players that is having ambitions to go and play in Arabs nation..one thing with Arab is if you sabi play dey go threat you well if you no sabi dey sending you packing..
