Emmanuel Dennis was a second half substitute in Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat in their first leg EFL Cup tie against Manchester United at City Ground.
Forest hosted the first leg semi-final against the Manchester United, who were coming off a 3-2 defeat on the road against Premier League leaders, Arsenal in London.
Dennis was introduced in the final 27th minutes, but could hardly impart the outcome.
In the first half, Forest trailed 2-0, following goals by Marcus Rashford (6′) and Wout Weghorst (45′).
The hosts saw a goal disqualified in between Man United’s double, but it was chalked off for Off side no thanks to VAR.
Bruno Fernandes finished of the contest in the 89th minute to seal the huge win and almost certainly put Man United through.
The second leg comes up 1st February, and is scheduled to be hosted at Old Trafford.
