Nigerian Left back Elderson Echiejile opened his goal account in Finnish Veikkausliiga after scoring in HJK Helsinki 4-1 loss away to FC Inter Turku at the Veritas Stadium,Turku, on Monday.
It took the former Monaco defender two minutes to put his side ahead in the tie, although FC Inter cancelled the advantage eight minutes later through Timo Furuholm.
Furuholm doubled FC Inter’s lead in the 19th minute to give the home side half-time lead.
In the second half, Juuso Haemaelaeinen and Daniel Kamy’s strike in the 49th minute and 63rd minute respectively condemned HJK Helsinki their first loss of the season.
As a result of the defeat , HJK Helsinki now dropped to fourth position on the log after two wins and three draws in previous matches.
