Assistant coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Nduka Ugbade has stated that the Eaglets have its work cut out and have real work to do to go beyond participating at the tournament.
Nigeria will be seeking a 6th title in the FIFA U17 world cup which holds in Brazil later this year.
The team was placed in Group B alongside Hungary, Ecuador and Australia.
In a chat with footballlive.ng Ugbade said that no team will be underrated and called for adequate preparation for the task ahead, to be able to compete favorably in the tournament.
“You’re not going to say they are easy countries to deal with. We have a work, very big work to do.
“The most important thing actually is to know that the competition is in Brazil a footballing nation, so you can’t go there with a participating heart, you have to go there with a competing mentality so that we are able to compete there at the highest level of the U17.”
