Dreams do come True! Awoniyi returns to Premier League as Record Signing

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Taiwo Awoniyi, triggering the Forward’s £17.5 million release clause from Union Berlin.

Forest confirmed the deal on Saturday, five-year contract for the club’s record Signing.

 

Awoniyi, 24, played last season at German Bundesliga side Union Berlin, returning to the club on a permanent move from Liverpool, after an initial loan spell.
He failed to secure work permit in his six seasons as a Liverpool player and had to be shipped out in loan, but the Reds will get a 10 percent in sell-on clause from the Nigerian’s contract.
Speaking on his, Awoniyi described it as a dream come true to play in the Premier League.
“I’m very excited to be here at Nottingham Forest,” the Forward told the Club’s Media.
” It’s always been my dream to play in the Premier League and having spoken Steve Cooper about our ambitions and looking at Forest, with its great history, it’s a club that I want to be a part of.”
